A DIFFERENT WAY TO BRING LOVE HOME
The Family Peace Project offers a different way of creating more love and connection at home by helping us understand the human story underneath the moments that are hardest.
Every home is full of human stories—different personalities, experiences, memories, ways of seeing the world, and ways of loving each other. The Family Peace Project brings a fresh and fascinating way to understand those stories and what they bring into everyday family life.
The more we discover about what makes each of us who we are, the easier it becomes to bring more love, kindness, connection, understanding and belonging into everyday life. There’s something pretty amazing about discovering a new way to understand the people you love most.
Because the people we love make more sense when we understand their story.
Add Your Home to The One Million
If you believe more love, kindness, connection, understanding and belonging at home can make a difference in your community and in the world, add your home to be one of the million. It’s free, simple, and your "yes" helps this project keep growing.
Becoming a Peace Builder is for adults, while kids are always welcome to be part of the fun, learning, and celebrations along the way.
One Family at a Time
One family. Then another. Then another. Together, those small beginnings can grow into something extraordinary.

PEACE BUILDERS
At 1,000, something beautiful begins.
When 1,000 Peace Builders stand together for more love, kindness, compassion and belonging at home, we’ll hold our first free Family Peace Project workshop for a community nominated by someone just like you.
And we won’t stop there.
As the project grows, we’ll keep reaching more groups, communities and families with free workshops, training and support — carrying more kindness, connection, understanding and love into the places children grow up.
One family. Then another.
That is how a more loving world begins.

Why I Started The Family Peace Project
The Family Peace Project began with a hope that means a great deal to me: that more children will grow up knowing, without question, that they are loved, valued, heard and deeply important to the people they call family.
For more than 30 years, I’ve been fascinated by people—by the experiences that shape us, the meanings we make, the stories we carry, and all the little things that make each of us wonderfully human.
And the more I’ve learned, the more I’ve come to believe that understanding each other can change so much. It can bring more kindness into a conversation, more connection into a relationship, more curiosity into the way we see one another, and more love into the places we call home.

That’s what inspired the Family Peace Project.
I started wondering what could happen if we shared this way of understanding people with families everywhere. What if one home became a little more connected, and then another, and another after that?
Why stop at a few hundred families when we could reach one million?
So that’s the dream: one million homes growing more love, kindness, connection, understanding and belonging—and all of those little ripples making their way into schools, friendships, neighbourhoods, communities and the lives children carry forward.
And I believe we can do it.
